Meet Lucie

BPhysio (Bc.) Lucie Daňhelovská

Lucie graduated in 2016 from the University of Western Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic, Faculty of Health Care Studies, with a degree in Physiotherapy. As part of her physiotherapy studies, Lucie specialised in sports massage therapy, rehabilitation massage, and yoga - with a strong focus on human anatomy. This combination formed the foundation of her strong manual therapy skills, effective rehabilitation exercises, and a deep focus on flexibility and body awareness.

Lucie played competitive tennis for 12 years and later worked as a tennis coach in the Czech Republic alongside one of the country’s most respected coaches, Eva Záhlavová-Herm. This experience shaped her understanding of movement, performance, injury prevention, and coaching both children and adults - skills that naturally translate into her work as a physiotherapist.

Her passion for physiotherapy began during her own rehabilitation journey. After sustaining wrist and back injuries from tennis, Lucie spent several months undergoing physiotherapy in Prague. This experience inspired her to pursue the profession herself.

Lucie has gained broad clinical experience working as a Physiotherapist in private clinics and hospitals across the Czech Republic and Germany. Her bachelor’s thesis focused on muscle imbalance in tennis players, a topic closely aligned with her sporting background at the time.

In 2017, Lucie moved to Australia and worked as a massage therapist across a multiple clinics on the Sunshine Coast.

She returned to Prague in 2020, continuing her work as a Physiotherapist. In 2022, she completed a Pilates Instructor certification in Prague, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and injury recovery, and a Master Class in Plant-Based Clinical Nutrition led by respected physician Dr Michael Klaper.

Later in 2022, Lucie returned to the Sunshine Coast, which she now considers her second home. She worked for two years as a Physiotherapist in a local private practice, leading clinical reformer pilates as well as hydrotherapy and general physio sessions. She became certified in Dry Needling and has been incorporating this technique into her daily practice.

She completed her Australian Physiotherapy recognition in 2025 and is now independent physiotherapist providing her physio skills from her home studio to the local community.

Outside of work, Lucie is a passionate surfer who loves the outdoors and animals, traveling, learning languages and spending time in nature camping with her partner Ben.
She does bodyweight exercises for keeping fit and yoga for flexibility and breathwork.
She values meaningful connections with people and lifelong learning.

Lucie keeps educating herself in health care sector and is undergoing new courses every year in both Australia and the Czech Republic.

Lucie is native Czech and speaks English fluently.
